A "Ghost Division" jelentése Szellem hadosztály. A magyarok következetesen nem tudják lefordítani idegen nyelvről a katonai egységek megnevezéseit. A "Division" mindig Hadosztályt jelent, akkor is, ha nem éri el egy feltöltött hadosztály erejét. Sajnos láttam és hallottam olyan magyar fordításokat, ahol a "Division" szót teljesen hibásan "szakasz"-nak vagy "hadtest"-nek fordították.
Ez a dal Erwin Rommel 7. páncélos HADOSZTÁLY-áról szól. A HADOSZTÁLY 1940-ben a nyugati hadjáratok idején kapta a "Szellem Hadosztály", németül "Gespenster Division", angolul "Ghost Division" nevet, mivel olyan gyorsan nyomultak előre, hogy gyakran a német hadvezetés sem tudta, hol jár a HADOSZTÁLY. Mindig ott bukkantak föl, ahol se a Szövetségesek, se a Német hadvezetés nem várta volna .... ezért lettek "Szellem Hadosztály".
